Here you'll find practical information about appointments with Feel Your Best Nutrition, including fees, rebates, payment and cancellation policies.
ONLINE APPOINTMENTS:
All appointments are online, using Google Meet.
You'll receive a unique meeting link in the automated booking confirmation sent after you book. This link will also be included in your email reminder four days before your appointment. If you can't find your reminder email, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't locate your meeting link, please contact me before your appointment.
A text reminder will also be sent to the mobile number on your file two days before your appointment.

Initial consultations:
- $189 for IBS and complex conditions: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), food intolerances, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), other complex conditions
- $155 for children's appointments (ages 0-16)
- $165 for all other reasons / conditions
Review consultations:
- $90 for 40 minute consultations
- $150 for 60 minute consultations

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES:
Your private health fund may provide a rebate depending on your cover. Ask your insurer if you're eligible for a rebate for a Dietitian consult. A payment receipt will be given after your appointment with Amanda's provider number and details for you to submit with your health fund. Full payment is required up front before a receipt is issued.
For packages and programs paid in advance, receipts are provided for each eligible Dietitian consultation after the appointment has taken place, rather than for the full package fee at the time of purchase.

MEDICARE REBATES:
A GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) may allow eligible people with a chronic medical condition to access Medicare rebates for appointments with allied health professionals, including Dietitians.
Medicare provides a rebate for up to 5 sessions per calendar year with Allied Health practitioners. Ask your GP whether you have a chronic health condition that makes you eligible. Full payment is required upfront and after your consultation you will receive a payment receipt and step-by-step instructions on how to claim your rebate (from $63) with Medicare.
For packages and programs paid in advance, receipts are provided for each eligible Dietitian consultation after the appointment has taken place, rather than for the full package fee at the time of purchase.

PAYMENT METHODS:
A $50 deposit via Credit Card (VISA and MASTERCARD only) is taken to secure all bookings.
Credit Card payments incur a 1.2% surcharge. Payment, minus your deposit, will be taken at the end of your consultation.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - available on request. Payment is required prior to the appointment.
Payment plans for programs and packages, minus the deposit, are requested to be paid via EFT.

CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY:
For cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment by email, text or phone call, a full refund of the deposit paid will be provided.
Please note that replies to reminder text messages will not be received.
Failure to provide at least 48 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling will incur a $50 fee and in this case, the deposit paid will be used.
For unforeseen circumstances where the appointment needs to be rescheduled without 48 hours notice, this may be arranged without fee, except for when appointments have been forgotten and missed.
Gut Recovery Program cancellations and refunds:
If you choose to withdraw from the Gut Recovery Program, the following amounts will be retained for services and resources already provided:
If you cancel before your initial consultation, my standard cancellation policy applies, including the $50 cancellation fee for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.
Feel Your Best Nutrition Package cancellations and refunds
If you choose to withdraw from the Feel Your Best Nutrition Package, the following amounts will be retained for services and support already provided:
If you cancel before your initial consultation, my standard cancellation policy applies, including the $50 cancellation fee for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.
These policies do not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Feel Your Best Nutrition Package cancellations and refunds
If you choose to withdraw from the Feel Your Best Nutrition Package, the following amounts will be retained for services and support already provided:
- Initial consultation: $165 once completed
- Review consultations: $90 for each consultation completed
- Ongoing between-appointment support: up to $190, calculated proportionately according to how much of the 90-day support period has elapsed.
If you cancel before your initial consultation, my standard cancellation policy applies, including the $50 cancellation fee for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.
These policies do not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Appointments are best booked using the online Setmore booking system. If you can't find a suitable time, please get in touch to request if we can accommodate your needs.

PRE-CONSULT QUESTIONNAIRE:
Prior to your initial consult, it is requested that you complete an online pre-consult questionnaire, detailing your current concerns, health history and diet. After booking a consultation, a link to the appropriate questionnaire will be emailed to you.
Your answers to the pre-consultation questionnaire are kept completely confidential and are only accessible by Amanda. They will be briefly viewed prior to your appointment and used throughout your consultations to assist advice offered.
For more complex health concerns, including IBS, SIBO, digestive issues, food intolerances and multiple health conditions, you may be asked to complete a more comprehensive questionnaire. Please ensure your questionnaire is submitted at least 24 hours before your initial consultation so I have adequate time to review your information and prepare for your appointment.
If your questionnaire isn't received in time, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and the late cancellation/rescheduling fee may apply.

Do I accept NDIS clients?
Yes, however only if you are plan managed or self managed.
Do you need a referral to book in?
No, referrals are welcomed but not required.
Can you claim a rebate with both your Private Health insurer and Medicare for the same appointment?
No. You cannot claim both a Medicare and private health insurance rebate for the same appointment. If you're eligible for both, you can choose which rebate to claim for each appointment. Your payment receipt will include the information required to make your chosen claim.
What happens if you are running late to an appointment?
If I don't have another client directly after you, I will offer for us to start at a later time that better suits you. However, if I do not have this ability, your appointment can either be attended with the time left available and full fee charged, or you may choose to reschedule, with the $50 late reschedule fee applied.
Can someone else attend my appointment?
For all children under 14 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present at the consultation. For children 14-15 years of age, they may attend the appointments alone, however an email from their parent or guardian is required to confirm this. For anyone over 16 years of age, family or carers are welcome to join.
