About Amanda
Hi, I'm AmandaI'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a special interest in IBS and gut health - and I've lived with IBS and food intolerances myself for more than 15 years.
I know how much digestive symptoms can affect everyday life, from what you eat and wear to how comfortable you feel going out, travelling or simply making plans. My approach combines evidence-based nutrition with a genuine understanding of what it's like to live with ongoing gut symptoms. |
Why I chose to specialise in gut health
I began studying health and nutrition in 2007, around the same time I was experiencing my own ongoing health and digestive issues. As I learned more about nutrition and began making changes to support my own health, I developed a strong interest in digestive health and the many factors that can influence how we feel.
That interest eventually became a clinical focus.
For more than a decade, I've been helping people better understand their digestive symptoms, navigate food and nutrition with greater confidence, and find practical strategies to support their gut health.
My own experience with IBS has also shaped the way I work with clients today.

My approach to working with you
I believe good nutrition support should feel collaborative, practical and personalised.
My aim is to help you better understand your symptoms, explore what may be contributing to them and develop strategies that fit realistically into your life.
I take the time to listen to your story and understand your symptoms, health history and individual circumstances before deciding where to focus. Recommendations are guided by current evidence, while also taking into account your individual health history, symptoms, preferences and goals.
Most importantly, I want you to leave our consultations with a clear understanding of what we're working on, why it matters and what your next steps are.
